Pauric McGroder is an award-winning professional photographer, with the by-line “Creating Lasting Impressions” who has been taking pictures for over 30 years.
Examples of Pauric's work are visible on this website, but it’s the work that he’s done in people’s homes, that stands out. While Pauric will admit that his first love is landscape photography, it is his work with people, especially his home portraits that have a particular quality and style. His gentle manner and willingness to “go with the flow” helps people, and in particular children, to relax during shoots and turn the events into a fun experience.
Pauric regularly speaks about the “emotional detachment” a photographer brings to an event; but that's just half the story, as it’s his attention to detail in the digital darkroom that is apparent in his high-key images.
In April this year (2011), Pauric was awarded the Associate Distinction with the Irish Photographic Federation, and achieved the Licentiate Distinction with the Irish Professional Photographers Association in June 2011.
